Wants to fit a DVD audio system. I have few questions. 1. Where can i find the Watts rating for the OEM speakers? 2. If i need to have excellent quality audio should i replace speakers as well? 3. If i buy speakers will they fit in the existing place holder for speakers? 4. Do i have to buy an amplifier?
Please help.
1. Good question. Don't think i've ever ktoyota oem dvd playernown the power ratings for OEM speaker in any of my rides.
2. Yes, you should. Components are the best way to go since it keeps the woofer (mids) and the tweeter (highs) separate for better sound imaging.
3. Find out what size speakers you have. They will fit no problem if you go full range (woofer and tweeter in one speaker together). For components there toyota oem dvd playermight be door panels made for your vehicle. Otherwise you will likely need to cut holes for the tweeters. Woofers will fit though.
4. An amplifier isn't necessary for full range, but it usually sounds better with a separate amp (I think so anyway) since they are getting more power. It WILL be necessary if you get components.
