microsoft msn discussionToday May 21, Microsoft's Live/MSN QnA was mothballed at about 10:00am Is this a Good Thing / Bad Thing, Why?

MSN QnA Beta is now closed.
To our loyal QnA community,

Since we introduced QnA Beta, we've learned a lot about this new way of communicating and creating valuable content. First and foremost, we want to thank you for your participation. At this time, we are closing the QnA Beta site, but the experience of running QnA and gathering all of the great feedback you've shared with us will certainly influence future product direction.

You can continue to get great information from Live Search and connect with others through Windows Live. The final QnA team blog microsoft msn discussionpost explains exactly how to do this. You can ask questions, get answers, and have discussions on a variety of topics in the message boards throughout MSN.

Windows 7 Beta and RC users, you can now ask your questions on Microsoft Answers.

Thank you again,
QnA Team

How can this be considered good? With any website there are good and bad problems. There were many loyal members there and dedicated themselves to this site. Posting a short notice with less than two weeks was deplorable. Many invested time in helping others find answers. Then they hear gmicrosoft msn discussionet out--we are closing. No alternate site for Q&A on msn was ever offered. The Windows Beta users were given a site. Is this fair? To treat people like something you leave out at the curb. The Windows beta testers were always given better treatment. Why? We tested out their so called beta site--but who knew it was a test? People even signed a petition for it to keep going, but no one seems to listen.
As far as message boards--the ones for Q&A are closed. So I say go to a place that welcomes people and treats everyone fair. I like Yahoo.
