And along with that, even if you are able to download the videos, you won’t be able to play them with your Windows Media Player or Real Player, because the smart content providers usually encode their videos in special formats that do not allow playback on mainstream media players. Well, after today, you won't have to worry about any of those things. I'm going to show you all how to beat the content providers at their own game. You will learn how to download videos and convert them to a format that will be playable on your favorite media player. If that sounds good, come along with me!
First, for this, you need to use the Firefox browser. And, as I always keep telling you, it’s an awesome browser and not just for the purpose of this tutorial!
Secondly, you'll need to install a Firefox extension that will let you download videos from different video Web sites. The extension is called Video Downloader and once you install it, just restart Firefox and it’ll be ready to go.
To install the Video Downloader, just click on this
and click the Install Now button.
Once you've got that done, you'll want to test it out by dfree youtube download managerownloading a video. For my example, I'm going to use one from YouTube. So, after we eventually download our YouTube video, we'll want to convert it to a format in which our media player will play. So, for that purpose, we are going to use a conversion software. My choice here would be Media Coder. It’s a relatively popular video converter and it works flawlessly. You can read more about it, download and install it right here.
Now, let’s go to the YouTube video that you want to download. Once you restart Firefox and after installing the extension, you will see a little icon in the status bar at the bottom of your desktop screen.
Click on that icon and a new window will pop up. From there, you will see a button that says "Download Link." Click on that and you will be prompted to save the file. Now, remember, the file you are downloading won’t have a name or an extension, so make sure to fill in a name and use .flv as the extension type, while you are downloading the file. .FLV is the default video extension used by most video sites. You can also rename the file after you have downloaded it, so just remember the folder where you have placed it.
Now that we have the file, all that's left for us to do is convert it to a video format that we can play in Windows Media Player or Winamp. So, go ahead and fire up the Media Coder. Click on the I Agree button for the licence agreement and then click on the Skip Setup Wizard button.
Drag and drop the .flv files that you downloaded from YouTube (or other sites) onto the Media Coder window. Click on the Video tab in the lower left hand section and select X-vid in the format drop down menu.
The last step is to click on the Start button on the top toolbar window to begin the encoding procefree youtube download managerss. The time taken to encode your video is proportional to the size of the video file you have downloaded. When the encoding is completed, you will be prompted by a pop up window. The people who design photoshop create some very elaborate algorithms to achieve what it does. They work very hard...trust me, if photoshop wasn't so expensive to create, it wouldn't be so expensive to buy (If they sold it for 100 bucks, everyone and their brother would buy a copy in a heartbeat).
Moral of the story: Downloading it for free isn't legal, and illegally downloading it is ripping off some very talented free download photoshop cs3 extendedhard-working people.

Your other option is using your PC and that seems to be the most popular method.

Maybe that is a a free game paid for via advertising (freeware or trial software).
These companies paid good money to develop these games, and they want to make a profit. That's like asking why it's illegal for me to come into your house and take your TV for free, it's not mine and I didn't pay for it.
Same with games, if you didn't pay for it, and you download it, it's stealinfree games downloadg (unless the publisher is providing it for free, which is rare).
If you are able to download it for free on the internet, who would buy it in a shop? If everyone dowloaded it for free from the internet, the company making the game would make no profit and it would be pointless for them to create another.

Javg free norton antivirus software downloadust by looking at the interface of Norton you can tell it is a lot more better then AVG. Even AVG sells one for real money for more features then the free one. I think it is worth paying $30-$50

I have flashget 1.9.6 and I download through a Rapidshare server. A few days ago all my files started downloading as 262 bit files, I checked my Rapidshare account which is active and working, and have tried signing in again on flashget, but to no avail, any ideas?

Personally i think that the RIAA and the MPAA are being stupid. They are so busy running here and there trying to stop these companies rather then thinking of other different stratgies to take them down. Visitors to the eDonkey Web site are now greeted by an intentionally blunt message advising surfers they are not anonymous online (and playfully proving it by displaying visitor IP addresses).
Only a month ago, we learned that former top file-sharing program Kazaa settled with the RIAA for $115 million, and that current top P2P application LimeWire was being sued for an estimated $476 million. The LimeWire case is expected to go to court next month.

Personally i think that the RIAA and the MPAA are being stupid. They are so busy running here and there trying to stop these companies rather then thinking of other different stratgies to take them down. I mean, in world, there well always be a pirater, so why keep trying top p2p file sharing sitesto stomp them out. If you stomp one, 5 more take their place. They should think of ways to embrace the P2P technology like Warner Bros. etc.

RIAA needs a reality check. You can shut down program after program, the users will just take their files to the next big thing. I used edonkey extensively for years, and kazaa before that. When edonkey got bombed, I spent less than 2 minutes finding another P2P network, and I like it better. You can't put a genie back into the bottle, the ttop p2p file sharing sitesechnology exists, now adapt or die, RIAA.

About an hour ago, a warning message popped up telling me that some dangerous trojan was on my computer, so I clicked on the link it gave me and downloaded Perfect Defender 2009
Once I installed PD 2009, and clicked "scan", a Firewall Alert appeared saying this:

I suggest you also download Ad-Aware 2008 and Spybot S&D (they’re free), install them, update them and run thedownload ares 2009m. If any of the above (or any anti-malware, for that matter) doesn’t seem to be able to run properly or get rid of everything it reports finding, try running it again in Safe Mode.
Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there.

Once I installed PD 2009, and clicked "scan", a Firewall Alert appeared saying this:

Block everything Windows Defender warns you about. I suspect that Perfect Defender 2009 is malware.

I get a lot of advertisements about dowloadable software. One that I've been getting a lot lately is for Adobe CS3 Premium for only $269 when the retail price is well over $1,500.00. I was wondering if this is a scam. Has anyone used these downloads? What was your experience? Would you recommend it to a friend? What are the disadvantages to downloading as opposed to purchasing the CD?

A lot of people don't realize what the bulk of the cost is in buying software. It is not a box or a disk or a manual, but rather a license to use the software.
I have bought OEM software in the past and been happy with it. The discount for the particular product you mentioned seems steep (so I would be highly suspicious). Is this a respectable company? Unfortunately, the only way to know if you are buying a legal product is to see some kind of proof that the distrubtor has the legal right to sell the software. Some sort of distribution/licensing agreement. Why not send an email and ask for proof that the product is legit? It would be the safe play for your legal concerns.
It is usually a scam yes, you will get the product, and you will get a key for it, but the people who sell it got it illegally and generated a key for it...
In other words, you wodownload discount softwarent get ripped off if you buy it, youll get what they advertise, but they got it illegally, therefore it is illegal...

ArmA 2 is a army sim and that's has the most up to dastrategy war gameste military tanks, infantry etc. Company of Heroes is a WW2 RTS. sims 2 downloadsWhere did my downloads go for the sims 2?
I downloaded certain stuff for the sims 2 of several sites and then i went into my downloads.
It was there so i double-clicked and then i clicked extract all files.
After doing that to everyone (the files are still in the sims downloads) I went into the game and theres nothing there? What do i do?
You have to extract the files to a custom made folder in the sims 2 directory called " downloads " . Try that and see if that helps .
Make a folder named Downloads (capital d), it goes in yousims 2 downloadsr documents.
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2
Your custom content will go in your Downloads folder.
I used to have that same exact problem.
What you should probably do is download the "Sims File Maid 2". It's a completely free download and it moves all of your downloads into the game.
Once you download it, open up your downloads and the File Maid. Drag each of your downloads, one at a time, to the File Maid. When you start the game up, a window sims 2 downloadsshould pop up that says What you downloaded and if you would like to enable the content or disable it. Click enable and it will bring you to the normal page. Here you will have to exit that game and restart. But when you go to put in the furniture you downloaded, it will show up with little Astrix symbol (*) in the bottom.

There are videos I would like to upload and send as an attachment through emails to family members (they have computer access at work, and most companies disallow use of sites like Youtube.) In order for them to view them, I need to find a way to make it an email attachment.

u could probably download as an flv with youtubex .. then convert tot somthing like mpeg .. then upload to somthing like dropbox and give them the adress and pass ... it would be alot of work coz many videos are 100+ mbs' ..

I suggest that you compress the video because most videos are a few megabytes and take hours to send. So, just compress it with WinZip or some other free utility and send.
